Kat Harrison (she/her) is an artist and educator from Berlin, Connecticut currently based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has her BFA from Alfred University School of Art and Design & a minor in Education and Art History. She received her Master of Science for Teachers degree from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Prior to receiving her masters degree, Harrison was a high school Digital Imaging and Design Teacher and Associate Artist at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia. Harrison has taught at art facilities, residencies and workshops in New York, Philadelphia, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Her work has been exhibited at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia; the New Britain Museum of American Art in New Britain, Connecticut; the World’s Fair Exhibition at the Canton Museum of Art in Canton, Ohio; as well as in group exhibitions in New York, Massachusetts, Oregon, Italy, and Australia. Her past research dove into three dimensional scanning, digital modeling and rapid prototyping technology and was funded by the Alfred Undergraduate Research Grant.
Currently, Harrison is working as a High School Art Teacher and is building her dream studio in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward. She is excited to open the doors to the public for community art classes and private tutoring this Spring.
